One of the nice things about living in another part of the world is being exposed to music that you’d otherwise never have the opportunity to hear.

Spoek Mathambo is my latest discovery: a post-Kwaito/electro-dub artist from South Africa who now lives in Malmö, Sweden (where I used to live).

I like how he blends the sounds of South Africa with the deep, dark bass of European dubstep. He calls the sound “Township Tech”.
